Linda and her husband relocated to the Maryland area in 1989 from upstate New York. They now reside in Westminster, Maryland with their teen-age son, Conor. Her K9 menagerie includes a Dutch Shepherd, a Bull Terrier and a Labrador Retriever. The house is also occupied by two cats who like to think they own the place.
Linda has worked with dogs professionally since 1979 and her resume includes employment with several top All-Breed handlers, professional trainers across a broad spectrum of disciplines, and employment positions with several top boarding and show kennels in the Northeast and the Mid Atlantic. Since moving to Maryland, she held positions with the Humane Society of Harford County in Fallston as the behavior counselor and temperament evaluator, the Baltimore Humane Society and the Mid-Atlantic German Shepherd Rescue as well as a plethora of breed specific and all-breed rescues in the area.
Working with dogs had always been her vocation of choice and throughout her life, her career has been peppered with handling dogs successfully in A.K.C. conformation, obedience and field events for upland bird dogs. She enjoys training dogs for a variety of performance disciplines and is currently training her Labrador “Joey” for A.K.C. field events.
Linda is an avid believer in understanding the total dog and is constantly pursuing continuing education in health, nutrition, behavior and training. Her expertise is actively sought by fellow trainers and pet owners alike and feels that her greatest advantage is her relentless pursuit of knowledge.
She is a past member of both the A.P.D.T. and the I.A.C.P.
